The first experience that I had with The Fountains is when my Aunt needed to be closer to where I lived in the city, a friend recommend The Fountains. My Aunt loved the care and attention that was given to her particular needs. That experience prompted me to move my brother there as well. “Fountains” keep doing what you doing, you’ll be around a long time, thank you.
The Fountains at Franklin was a beautiful place. The staff and everybody was kind and they had a lot of activities. They have a movie theater and two restaurants. It’s not covered with the cost, but you can eat with family if they come to visit. They also have a formal dining room which is on the small side. The apartments are nice, the residents enter with their own key, there’s a kitchen, bathroom, living room space, and a bedroom. It’s a really nice and clean community.
The Fountains was lovely, and I loved it. The staff and the residents I met were nice. The dining room is beautiful and the food is delicious. They showed me several apartments and they were nice. It’s just wonderful. They gave me a list of activities.
The Fountains at Franklin is very good. They have an excellent dining facility, they’re really prompt with maintenance, and helping you set up. I knew somebody that worked there, and the price was right. I like it. So far, they’re doing a really good job.
My father has been living in the independent section for 1 1/2 years. My mother died a year ago and this environment is great for him transition to living alone. He needs the activities for socialization, he likes the food and he’s made friends. The staff goes out of their way to assist and accommodate him. Everyone including Tawania the Executive Director, Nicole in Housekeeping and the dining staff has done something to make him feel welcomed and cared for. The amenities such as on site physical therapy are a plus. This is an excellent facility!!
My dad is at Fountains at Franklin. It seems friendlier and more like home. The staff’s work ethic is very good. We have no complaints. He participates in different activities. I do not know if they have exercises, but they do have bingo. The rooms are very spacious.
Thanks so much for reviewing our community. We do offer a wide selection of exercise classes including traditional stretch and fitness classes plus Yoga and Tai Chi. In addition to Bingo, your Dad can enjoy music and arts programming plus sporting events, happy hours and clubs like our Bid Whist Club. We encourage everyone to attend our themed dinners and socials, plus trips to the casino, movies and museums. Come join the fun any time you’d like! Thanks again.
Sincerely, Tawania Sears, Executive Director
I really liked the dining room in Fountains at Franklin because they used tablecloths. I liked all of the amenities and especially how clean the place was. It would have been my choice if it was in our price range. They had ice cream socials, movie theatres, and beauty shops. I would recommend them to other people. I believe you have the option of buying either one or two meals a day. You could go up to three meals, but they also had a commissary and a snack bar. The staff seemed to be pleasant and comfortable in their environment. I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. I would trust my mother with these individuals. I met the chef on staff. It was the cheapest of all that I visited. They offered all levels of care, including independent, assisted, and Alzheimer’s and specialized-need care. I was like, “Wow!” I can only say good things about them.
I got a chance to visit The Fountains at Franklin, and it was very nice. The lady who accommodated me was very informative. She was very knowledgeable about the place. She showed us around, and the facility is very nice and very clean. The rooms were very nice too. Their activities were very good. They have arts and crafts. They have a movie theater for them to see movies. They have a list of activities, and I like that. The residents that I saw where just comfortable and laid back. If I can sum it up, it had a very positive effect on me.
I was met by the staff of The Fountains at Franklin promptly. They were very kind and gave me the tour. The common areas were very nice, the dining room was fine. I especially appreciated the ability to scale back the number of services that were required as my mother-in-law is more independent than the other seniors. The room was very nice, very large, and clean, and I really liked the floor plan.
I am very excited about my relocation to The Fountains at Franklin. My tour was just awesome….Special shout out to Ms. Robyn West. She took so much time with me. For the perfect apartment. Thank You, Thank You.
The Fountains at the Franklins has been home to my mother for five years, she started out in Assistant Living where the Manager and Staff were remarkable they also had a very efficient and pleasant Social Director. The residents were always taking monthly outings and were offered other social and recreational activities. As my mothers condition worsened (Dementia) we transferred her to the Memory Care Unit at the Fountains where she is given specialized care from a warm and caring staff. The Director is awesome if you have any problems or concerns her door is always open.
This was a fabulous experience the staff is very professional & polite. I went for a tour on October 21st my birthday. I arrived a little late but wow to my surprise what they had for me was “Fabulous”. I came in and gave my name an let the concierge know who I was their to see. Then I noticed a plaque on the counter that had my name. lt said Happy Birthday Charles Horne. I looked at the concierge she said Happy Birthday. “Cynthia” the concierge let Norilee Roberts know that I had arrived. Norilee came out and greeted me and said you finally have arrived, come with me then we went back into the conference room where she offered me a seat, and then here comes the big surprise the staff came with a mini cake & lighted candle and singing Happy Birthday with a birthday card. Now that’s what sold me on this place that I’m planning to call home and move my Mom and I soon. Beautiful people that make you feel important and you matter. I also met the Manager she was Elegance and classy. The Fountains at Franklin is a awesome place I look forward to living their soon with my 87 years young Mom.
This place is affordable and your loved ones can age in place. Check them out your loved ones will stay busy and they are remodeling. Best retirement community in Southfield!
My dad is planning to move here in a few weeks. He’s so excited, it’s clean, the food is GREAT, and the price is right. The ladies that work here made this process so easy. Make sure you stop by this place. It’s nothing like the others in the area.
The Fountains at Franklin is the example of living your life as its golden. I came here looking for somewhere to live for myself. My sister and I toured the community with Ms. Coleman and found it to be very impressive from the dining area to the movie theater. And even the hair salon was a plus. There is plenty to do and you’ll never have a dull moment for there are many places to go. Come check it out!
I live here and this is the greatest. The people are always friendly and professional, and treat you with the greatest care. There are many likable people here that treat you in the most friendly way.
So far my husband is doing pretty well with his move to this community. They have a good staff at this community. So I know he is safe, and receiving good care. I haven’t had any problems with this community. The community looks good, they do a great job with the cleanliness. It has been a good experience. If I knew anyone looking for similar care, this is a community I would recommend.
My sister loves being here, she has set up her room with all new furniture and feels right at home. There is so much for the residents to do here and my sister has already started doing some of the different activities they offer. She likes going to the dining room and visiting with the other residents and she really likes the food and being waited on. I would definitely recommend setting up a tour here to see the community and what they have to offer.
The Fountains was our first tour and really made us aware of the positive aspects of living in a senior environment. The apartments were nice and conveniently located in one area of the building. The activities are many plus you can stay active with your current activities. I especially like the fact that you can choose to stay there with or without services. To me this would give one time to adjust to a different life style. [Removed] was congenial and informative.
I would [give] this community the highest ratings. I’am very pleased with my mother’s move to this community. They are taking very good care of her, and her needs. She is doing very well since her move here. The staff is great, they are very attentive, and helpful. They have accommodated many of our needs. This is a community I would recommend, it has worked out well for us.
Very warm and welcoming place. They emphasized an “open 24-hours” kind of philosophy. Although seemingly well maintained, the place showed some age and wear and tear. Far and away the most outstanding feature was the vibrant and energetic staff that we met, including Director of the AL Unit and Director of Admissions who gave us our tour. They really put us at ease with their directness and explaining their philosophy of senior care, including the importance of individual dignity, etc. Also, here we saw lots of different groups interacting in different spaces–around the piano, in the lobby doing a Christmas word game, and in the library.
My son moved here recently and things are wonderful. He was in the independent side intentionally but he wasn’t getting the attention he needed. He has since moved to assisted living and things are going very well. He is getting individualized care now. They seem to have everything here. If you need something they can accommodate you. I see an inch of improvement in him every time I visit. I also like that the surroundings are so pretty. They have nice big windows in all the rooms and that’s important for those who are bedridden because they can watch the birds and see the outdoors. We chose The Fountains at Franklin because we had a friend from church we used to visit and she would walk us around the building. It was always nice to see the residents out and about in their street clothes. All the staff I met when visiting was very nice and we thought it would be a good place for my son.
