Nothing spells fun better than Happy Hour at The Fountains at Franklin!
Over 60 residents from our Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care communities joined us today to ring in the upcoming weekend with our popular Happy Hour party in the main dining room. One of our favorite duo’s – the singer, Roger Tucker, and keyboardist, Robert Jones, from Detroit – played our favorite songs in their classic, smooth jazz style that we love so much. We couldn’t help but sway and sing along to the tunes of songs like “Little, Green Apples” and the classic Temptations hit, “Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me),” as Tucker and Jones made magic on the stage.
Needless to say, our dance floor was on fire today! Every time someone came up to dance, the whole crowd smiled and cheered them on. One resident loved it so much she shouted out, “Get it, girl!” when her friend did a surprise solo dance. Our staff couldn’t help but join the fun, too! Our head chef, Rhonda, clapped and swayed to the sounds of “Love Will Find a Way,” with the residents, and gave her compliments to the band at the end, as she smiled and shouted out, “Beautiful!”
There was a certain charisma to the celebration that made today’s happy hour party special. Feeling the love, Tucker asked the crowd, “Are you all having a good time?,” to which the residents replied, “Yeah!” Then, he told everyone, “It’s always good to be here with you guys,” and started the opening chords of “Lovely Day,” the classic, upbeat Bill Withers tune.
After he finished, everyone cheered and clapped as they hugged each other – a lovely day, indeed.
