Celebrating Autumn with an “Indian Corn Pin” Craft

Our Assisted Living residents were treated to a special guest today, craft instructor Maggie Schultz. Mrs. Schultz has been working at The Fountains for over a decade now, helping residents create extraordinary jewelry, cards and decorations. A lot of our residents know her from her monthly craft class, and were thrilled to have her with us this today.

This afternoon, she taught the residents how to make their very own Indian Corn Pin for the Fall Holiday Season. Residents learned how to bead their own designs into replicas of Indian corn that were then paired with a bow of raffia ribbon and wired to a pin backing to complete the craft. Afterwards, the residents were treated to a yummy glass of apple cider.

All in all, it was a great way to celebrate the beauty and wonder of the Autumn Season!!
