Our residents enjoyed a special Belle Isle Picnic outing this past Tuesday. The weather was just about perfect that day – not too hot and not too cold. We chose a picnic spot right across the street from the Bagley Memorial Fountain. From our spot, we could also see the Detroit River, as well as the Detroit and Windsor skyline. After we ate our delicious lunch, prepared by the kitchen staff, we took a little stroll alongside the water and enjoyed the fresh breeze. We even saw a pretty, black butterfly feasting off the nectar of nearby flowers, as well as an array of birds and trees. After about a couple hours of relaxing and socializing, we decided to head home.
Needless to say, we had a great time and hope to visit Belle Isle again soon!
