We treated some of our residents to a tasty treat today at Slows BBQ in Detroit, and we had a delicious time!
Located on the corner of Michigan Avenue, just down the street from the old Michigan Central Station, Slows BBQ is one of the most talked about restaurants in town. The legendary barbeque at Slow’s has caught the eyes (and tastebuds!) of people across the country, as the restaurant has been featured on numerous TV shows, websites, newspapers and magazines. Right outside of the main room in the restaurant is a huge, industrial-sized grill, filled to the brim with ribs, pork, steak and chicken, made fresh and served fresh.
One of the residents who came on the trip said, “It’s always nice to try out some place new that you haven’t been to before.” Needless to say, we enjoyed ourselves immensely as we dined on yummy sandwiches, hoagies, waffle fries, mac and cheese, cornbread and brisket this afternoon. Of course, after eating all of that delicious food – we were stuffed to the brim afterwards!
Thanks, Slows BBQ, for the tasty food and great service!
