Sea Life Aquarium

Independence Day Barbeque


This past week, the community stepped outside and enjoyed some fun in the sun and fresh air out at the gazebo. Anna Scripps Conservatory


Recently, we enjoyed a trip to the Anna Scripps Conservatory. We were taken on a guided tour of the grounds where we learned about a multitude of plant life. We enjoyed every moment and had a tree of topics to discuss on the way back home.

This past Tuesday, we enjoyed a visit to the African Safari Wildlife Park. It is a drive and walk through wildlife park in Port Clinton, Ohio. We drove through the 100-acre preserve and watched and fed the animals from the bus. It was an experience we will never forget and would love to enjoy again!

This week in “Decorating Desserts,” class, the residents created a strawberry shortcake. This strawberry shortcake was made with French vanilla cupcakes, strawberry topping marinated in cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla and topped with whipped cream. The residents enjoyed preparing this desert, but they enjoyed eating it even more!

Independence Day, also referred to as the Fourth of July or July Fourth in the U.S., is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence 240 years ago in 1776 on July 4 by the Continental Congress.
